Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral outside linebacker Halid Djibril committed to Oregon State in May, but after his recruitment heated up in June, Djibril backed off his pledge to the Beavers.

"Right now, I'm just taking everything patient and smooth," Djibril said.

Four Pac-12 schools are starting to emerge was frontrunners in his recruitment. The 6-foot-1, 181-pound three-star prospect is keeping in touch with USC, Colorado, Washington State, and Utah the most.
