1st Half Recap

Colorado and Oregon both got off to hot starts both draining three-pointers. The Ducks first nine points were from all three-pointers and 10 minutes into the game between Colorado and Oregon they hit a combined 10 three-pointers, each team was shooting 71.4% from beyond the arc. At the half, 13 three-pointers were made between the two teams.

George King lead the team with 10 points at halftime, he was 4-of-6 from the floor and 2-of-3 from three-point range and had two rebounds. Oregon had a good game plan going into today’s game to keep Derrick White under control and they did that in the first half, White only had five points. Bryce Peters didn't play in the game today, so far we know that it is just a coaches decision but they could have used Peters to bring them some energy off the bench.

The Buffs kept the game close with Oregon but the Ducks only missed two shots the first six minutes of the game. Colorado was able to hit a few three-pointers to tie the game back up and from there the game was very teeter-totterish, each team trading baskets to keep the game tied but eventually Oregon would take an 13-point lead at halftime.

Colorado went into the locker room shooting 12-of-29 (41%) from the floor, 6-of-15 (40%) from beyond the arc and 2-of-4 from the line. Oregon out-rebounded the Buffs 18-12 and the Buffs had six turnovers. Their perimeter defense was lackluster in the first half, giving the Ducks seven three-pointers, Dillon Brooks had four of the seven and he only missed once in the first half.

2nd Half Recap

The second half for the Buffs was just horrible, from the end of the first half to the first seven minutes of the second half, the Ducks went on a 29-2 run and would take a 30 point lead at one point and the Buffs would never catch up especially with how they were playing on offense.

Colorado was not doing anything on defense or offense. They weren't playing any defense at all, they were getting confused on defense and leaving guys wide open for jumpers, three-pointers and dunks. Colorado only had two points in the first seven minutes of the second half. On offense they couldn't make layups and weren't getting any offensive rebounds. King lead the team with 16 points, Dom Collier was second with 13 points.

Oregon took full advantage of Colorado's sloppy play and unability to play on the road. Brooks lead Oregon with 23 points and Dylan Ennis was close behind with 20 points, the Ducks hit 16 three's in the game. Colorado would shot 26-of-60 (43.4%) from the field, 9-of-27 (33.3%) from three and 12-of-18 (66.7%) from the line. Colorado had 12 total turnovers in the game and were out-rebounded by 14 (38-24) and no one on the Buffs had more than four rebounds.
