Chris Miller already has an offer from Colorado, but he still plans to showcase his skills in front of the Buffaloes' coaches by attending a CU camp in June. The 6-foot-0, 175-pound athlete prospect from Denton (Texas) High already took an unofficial visit to Boulder in April.

“I just like how the atmosphere and the players were at Colorado,” he said thinking back to his trip to Colorado. “I love the facilities and the school. It was just all good to me. It was an all-around great visit.”

Buffs co-offensive coordinator and receivers coach Darrin Chiaverini and cornerbacks coach Charles Clark have both been by Denton during the spring evaluation period.

“They said I could come in and compete as a freshman. They really want me to be there,” he said. “I like Colorado a lot. I plan to go back there for a camp this summer.”

The other programs that have offered Miller are Kansas, Nevada, North Texas, UTSA and Tulsa. He has also received camp invites from Baylor, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas Tech.

The Longhorns stopped by to watch Miller practice earlier this week and they had a positive review.

“Texas told me they liked what they saw,” he said. “Obviously it would be a big offer if they decided to offer me but I don't want to just go online to see the facilities there, I want to go and see their facilities with my own eyes.”

Kansas is another school Miller would like to visit before making his college decision.

“I plan on committing somewhere before the summer is over with,” he said.

Some colleges are recruiting Miller for cornerback, while some others project him as a receiver. He earned first-team all-district honors on both sides of the ball as a junior.

“I am open to playing on either side [in college] but right now my preference, it is leaning more toward cornerback,” Miller said.

During track this spring, Miller clocked in at 10.72-seconds in the 100-meter dash at the regional meet and he helped Denton's 4x2 relay team qualify for the state meet.
