A first-team all-district selection on both sides of the ball as a junior, Chris Miller is a true athlete prospect.

“Right now I have six offers, three for receiver and three for defensive back,” said the 6-foot-0, 175-pound Class of 2017 prospect from Denton (Texas) High. “I am willing to play wherever a college feels most comfortable to play me at.”

Colorado is one of the schools recruiting Miller for defensive back. He took a trip out to Boulder last weekend with his mother.

“The family feel out at Colorado was great," he said. "I really felt a connection with the coaches there, they were great. They had the mindset that I was looking for. And the facilities were great, they were top notch.”

Cornerbacks coach Charles Clark is responsible for Miller's recruitment from the Buffaloes' staff.

“They told me all about their program and were being straight-up. That is what I really liked about it,” he added in regards to Colorado.

Kansas, Nevada, North Texas, Texas-San Antonio (UTSA) and Tulane are the other programs that have offered Miller. He is also hearing from Baylor and Houston, among others.

“Baylor and Colorado are the only schools that I have visited so far. The next school I am going to is to UTSA on Friday,” Miller said. “I liked my visit to Baylor. They have a winning program and I like their facilities, too. They said they are going to come out to my school to check me out this spring.”

Miller would ideally like to make his college decision this summer, pending his mother's approval. What are his favorites at this early stage?

“Really Colorado, Baylor, UTSA and Tulane,” he responded. “Kansas could move up when I go visit it. But the one that is really up there right now is Colorado. The coaches there make them stand out.”

Miller also plays basketball and he is currently running track, competing in the 100-meter dash and the 4x1 and 4x2 relays. On the football field, he is a fluid athlete with good speed.

“I am trying to really just polish up on my techniques for receiver and defensive back,” he said.

Miller is not rated by Rivals.com yet, but he is a three-star prospect on Scout.com.
