Committed: October 7, 2017

Hypolite is the most recent commit for the CU Buffs, and it was a big one as Colorado needed a quality safety. Hypolite chose Colorado over the likes of Colorado State, Houston, Southern Miss, and Texas Tech. Hypolite is a physical 6-foot, 205-pounder that has a very high upside.

2017 stats: 96 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 4 tackles, 2 fumble rec, 2 TD's

Colorado went about two months without landing a new commitment before Finau announced his CU pledge. Finau selected the Buffs over the likes of Boise State, Fresno State, Hawaii, Nevada, San Diego State, Utah State, and Washington State. Offensive line coach Klayton Adams and defensive line coach Jim Jeffcoat were the two main coaches recruiting Finau for the Buffaloes. Finau is believed to be very firm in his CU pledge. He took his Colorado official visit in September, right before his commitment.

2017 stats: 43 tackles, 5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery

Wallace's recruitment, and quite frankly his on the field skills, is pretty similar to Hailassie's recruitment. The Buffs were the leader all along for Wallace ever since they offered, and it just took a campus visit to make Wallace decide on CU. He's another long defensive back and can play either cornerback or safety in Boulder.

2017 statistics: 10 rushes, 91 yards, TD ... 15 receptions, 231 yards, 3 touchdowns ... 41 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, 1 pass deflection

2016 statistics: 4 rushes, 34 yards ... 10 receptions, 124 yards, 2 touchdowns ... 37 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, 4 pass deflections, fumble recovery touchdown, punt return touchdown

The Buffaloes landed an incredible wide receiver class in last year's recruiting cycle, and their current commitments are impressive as well. We believe that the Buffs are finished recruiting wide receivers in the 2018 class with Thomas' commitment. Thomas was easily one of Colorado's top overall receiver targets. Thomas announced his commitment to the Buffs the day after the BBQ recruiting event.

2017 statistics: 25 receptions, 275 yards, 5 touchdowns

The Buffaloes were the leader all along in Hailassie's recruitment. When he visited CU for the BBQ in July, the vibe was strong that he'd make a commitment to the Buffaloes, and that's exactly what he did. Hailassie is a lengthy cornerback that is a great all-around athlete. The Buffs got a guy with high upside in Hailassie.

2017 statistics: 13 receptions, 310 yards, 2 touchdowns ... 40 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 pass deflections, 3 forced fumbles, 1 blocked FG

2016 statistics: 31 receptions, 614 receptions, 7 touchdowns ... 64 total tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 interception, 7 pass deflections, 2 fumble recoveries, 3 forced fumbles

Colorado offered Stanley earlier this year, and it looked like the Buffs were primed to land his commitment. However, months and months passed by, and Stanley had not yet committed to the Buffs. Schools like Nebraska, Arizona State, and Colorado State pushed for Stanley, but in the end, he ended up choosing the Buffaloes. Stanley is a dynamic two-way athlete who can play as a returner as well.

2017 statistics: 81 receptions, 1192 yards, 20 touchdowns

2016 statistics: 65 receptions, 970 yards, 13 touchdowns ... 8 rushes, 87 yards, 2 touchdowns

Abrams took visits to Colorado, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma State, and the Buffs won out for the talented 6-foot-3, 180-pound three-star prospect. Abrams seems to be very solid with his Colorado choice and will enroll in January as a true junior. Schools such as UCLA, Arkansas, and West Virginia also offered Abrams during his recruitment. If Isaiah Oliver bolts for the NFL draft, Abrams' commitment becomes even more important.

2017 statistics: 28 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 fumble recovery, 4 break ups

2016 statistics: 30 total tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions

The state of Washington isn't exactly a recruiting hotbed for Colorado, but the CU coaches identified Arias and targeted him hard. He visited over the summer and committed shortly after. At 6-foot-4, 190-pounds, Arias is a big time vertical threat and helps replenish the depth for Darrin Chiaverini's wide receiver corps. Arias picked Colorado over 19 other schools that had offered him.

2016 statistics: 49 receptions, 1030 yards, 12 touchdowns

Smith's commitment to Colorado is huge. At 6-foot, 180-pounds, Smith has excellent size and is a running back that can do it all. Shortly after Smith committed to CU, the Buffs lost a commitment from Max Borghi at running back, which makes Smith's commitment even more important. Smith also has a long offer list with schools such as Notre Dame, Boston College, Indiana, Iowa State, Minnesota, TCU, Utah, Vanderbilt, and UCLA offering him over the course of his recruitment. He took an official visit to Utah but should be solid the rest of the way of his recruitment. Smith had a knee injury that ended his senior season short.

2017 statistics: 81 rushes, 783 yards, 6 touchdowns ... 9 receptions, 140 yards, TD

2016 statistics: 122 rushes, 1223 yards, 19 touchdowns ... 22 receptions, 494 yards, 5 touchdowns ... 1 interception returned for touchdown

The Buffs landed lightning in a bottle with a commitment from Jarek Broussard from Dallas, Texas in June. He chose the Buffaloes over Arkansas State, Colorado State, Houston, TCU, and others. Broussard can really play all over the field at offense, but Colorado likes his shiftiness at running back. Broussard is truly an all-purpose back that can excel in Colorado's high flying offense.

2017 statistics: 63 rushes, 745 yards, 10 touchdowns ... 22 receptions, 360 yards, 3 TD, 1 kickoff return touchdown

2016 statistics: 77 rushes, 842 yards, 13 touchdowns ... 44 receptions, 830 yards, 9 touchdowns ... 1 kickoff return touchdown

Taylor's commitment was interesting as he never really announced his commitment. He informed CUSportsNation.com after his official visit to Colorado in June that he was fully committed to the Buffaloes. Taylor is an under the radar guy, but the Colorado coaches love him. Coahoma C.C. isn't a hotbed for college coaches, but if schools start to see the talent that Taylor is at inside linebacker, then other schools could start calling for him. Taylor is set to sign with CU in December and enroll in January.

2017 statistics: 60 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 INT, 3 pass break ups, 1 FG block

2016 statistics: 26 total tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery

Moore fell in love with Colorado and their coaching staff before even visiting Boulder to see it firsthand. Moore did visit Colorado a few days after making his commitment though. Moore chose Colorado over Arizona State, Boise State, Colorado State, and others. He is committed to the Buffs at inside linebacker and is a hard hitting recruit with a mean streak. Moore had a season ending injury after just three games into his senior year. His recovery is going well.

2017 statistics: 23 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 2 pass break ups

2016 statistics: 67 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, 3 pass deflections, 1 forced fumble

Fillip was leaning towards staying in-state at Baylor or Rice, but a trip to Boulder changed the landscape for his life for the next four years. Fillip was blown away by his Colorado trip and is completely locked in with his Colorado commitment. He told CUSportsNation.com after his commitment that he would not be considering other schools.

Colorado's pipeline is still strong in DeSoto with the addition of Josh Jynes to their 2018 recruiting class. He will likely be the only interior offensive lineman that CU takes in this class. Jynes is actively recruiting other prospects to join him in Boulder. Jynes held an offer from West Virginia, but he's no longer in contact with the Mountaineers.

The Valor Christian quarterback was offered by Colorado last May, and they are still the lone school to offer Stenstrom. He has not been the full-time starter for Valor yet as he was sitting behind Dylan McCaffrey, but Stenstrom showed the Colorado coaching staff his skills when they evaluated him. Stenstrom is a very firm Colorado commitment.

2017 statistics: 75-of-121, 832 yards, 6 touchdowns, 5 INT ... 53 carries, 327 yards, 3 TD

2016 statistics: 49-of-74, 500 yards, 7 touchdowns

Gustav visited Colorado early in the spring and came away very impressed with what he saw in Boulder. The German native committed to Colorado a couple of weeks after his visit and seems to be pretty solid in his commitment. New defensive coordinator DJ Eliot has done a great job in recruiting Gustav. The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder is a versatile prospect that is listed as a strongside defensive end on his Rivals.com profile but is committed to CU as an outside linebacker. He also plays tight end at a high level.

2016 statistics: 50 receptions, 978 yards, 15 touchdowns ... 37 solo tackles, 78 total tackles, 4 sacks, 1 interception

Culver has an interesting tie to Colorado as his former high school coach Matt Bryson is now on staff at Colorado as a recruiting intern. Culver visited Colorado last fall and fell in love with Boulder and the atmosphere at Folsom. Other schools have not stopped recruiting him even though he's a Buff pledge. Culver is not a firm commitment as he's taken an official visit to Ohio State and seems to be trending towards flipping his commitment.

2016 statistics: 21 receptions, 351 yards, 3 touchdowns ... 26 solo tackles, 43 total tackles, 1 interception, 7 pass break ups

2018 TRANSFER

Announced transfer: June 19, 2017

Because of the nature of Brown's transfer to Colorado, Rivals.com guidelines do not allow us to list Brown as an "official" member of Colorado's 2018 commitment list. Brown will not be playing for a junior college this season but will enroll at Riverside C.C. to take classes. He will come to Colorado in January of 2018 after spending two years at Texas Tech, where he caught 27 passes and scored one touchdown. Brown will be a redshirt junior when he begins his CU career.
