Colorado pulled Steven Montez at halftime and replaced him with Sam Noyer coming out in the third quarter. Head coach Mike MacIntyre's comments following CU's 28-0 loss against WSU indicated that there was a quarterback controversy.
MacIntyre's comments on Monday cemented the QB battle.
“We’re preparing them both to play,” MacIntyre said. “When we walk out there to play on Saturday is when we’ll make our decision.”
