Huntley no longer taking other trips

Highly regarded Florida receiver Johnny Huntley has consistently said he is solid with his commitment to Colorado, dating back to August, but it was not until Wednesday morning that Buffaloes fans felt truly confident he would stick with his pledge.

Huntley had lined up an official visit to Syracuse for Jan. 22 and Washington for Jan. 29 before he announced he would no longer be taking those trips on social media. His teammate and close friend Anthony Julmisse, who is also verbally committed to the Buffs, will likely cancel his trip to Syracuse as well, according to a report by the Syracuse affiliate on Scout.com. Julmisse previously took a trip to Vanderbilt during the season.

Huntley and Julmisse both hosted multiple in-home visits with Buffs safeties coach Joe Tumpkin in December, prior to the current recruiting dead period. CU head coach Mike MacIntyre will be by Florida later this month to conduct his in-home visit with both.

Ranked among the top 70 prospects from the talent rich Sunshine State, Huntley hauled in 55 receptions for 930 yards and 12 touchdowns during his senior season at South Plantation High School. A big target at 6-foot-3, 190-pounds, Huntley is known for his ability to go up and catch the ball at its highest point. Throughout the course of his recruitment, he received scholarship offers from roughly 28 FBS programs.
