Four-star athlete is Boulder bound

Parents often let their children open up one gift on Christmas eve. Colorado fans opened their signing day eve present at 10:38 pm (MT) on Tuesday when four-star athlete prospect Beau Bisharat announced on Twitter that he will sign with the Buffaloes.

Initially a Stanford commit, Bisharat had a long list of options after he parted ways with the Cardinal. Alabama, Arizona State, California and Nebraska were among the other colleges trying to pursue him up until the end.

While a lot of colleges wanted Bisharat to play linebacker, the Buffaloes see him factoring in at running back. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Bisharat averaged 9.2 yards per carry as a senior. He is ranked among the nation's top 250 prospects and the top 40 recruits from California.

"Beau has good size, he's athletic, fast and tough to tackle," Rivals.com west coast recruiting analyst Adam Gorney told BuffStampede.com. "If he is going to be used as a running back or a hybrid on offense, he is a guy where you can put the ball in his hands and he is going to get extra yards. He is always falling forward. He is a pounder."
