MVP - Jarek Broussard

The "MVP" of the class goes out to the recruit who committed early, had an impact in recruiting other prospects to Colorado, and was very solid throughout the recruiting process. There are a few guys for the Buffs that fit that bill, and it was between Broussard and Stenstrom in my opinion. I'm simply a big fan of Broussard's game and think he can be pretty dynamic in a Buff uniform. He's not built as well as K.D. Nixon, but he may have better agility and the ability to play a traditional running back spot in addition to playing some in the slot.

Golden Child - Blake Stenstrom

In Mike MacInyre's NSD press conference, he called quarterbacks the "golden child" so that's the superlative I'm giving Stenstrom. There are question marks about Stenstrom's high school production and experience, but Stenstrom comes from a great bloodline and has a very good skill set. Stenstrom needs tutelage, but he has a high upside that Colorado fans should be excited about.

Best Athlete - Dimitri Stanley

The Buffs held onto Stanley despite a late push from Washington. Stanley had an uber-productive senior season, catching 81 passes for 1,192 yards and 20 touchdowns. He's very good in the return game, and I think he can be utilized well in trick plays -- whether it's him taking a reverse around the end or throwing the ball down the field on a double pass. Stanley is a terrific athlete and the best of the class, in my opinion.

Most Underrated - Delrick Abrams Jr.

Colorado held off Oregon to land the 6-foot-3, 180-pound junior college cornerback. Abrams Jr. originally committed to the Buffs back on July 14, choosing Colorado over Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, and West Virginia. I love his film and production, and he's worth a 5.7 three-star ranking or maybe even a bump to 5.8 four-star status.

Most Versatile - Joshka Gustav

Gustav is a pass rushing specialist in the 3-4 as an outside linebacker, but I do think he could bulk up and play with his hand in the dirt as a defensive end. Also, Gustav has the skill set and high school experience to play tight end at CU. My favorite part about Gustav's senior season is that he was the team's primary punt returner. How often do you talk about a guy being a pass rusher and a punt returner? I love Gustav's versatility.

Surprise Flip - Israel Antwine

After committing to Oklahoma State in the fall, I was told that Colorado kept pursuing Antwine as his family wanted to continue talks with Colorado. It paid off as the Buffs flipped his commitment the day before the December National Signing Day. This was a huge get for Colorado, and I do think that Antwine can play as a true freshman. Early playing time as a big selling point for Antwine as he wants to play early.

Boom or Bust - Dylan Thomas

I'm looking forward to seeing how Thomas develops at Colorado. I see him redshirting in 2018 and getting into the receiver rotation a bit as a redshirt freshman, but 2020 will probably be his season where we see much more of Dylan Thomas. I think he has excellent potential to be a playmaking, go-to wide receiver, but I just have a feeling that there is some "bust" potential too.
