Could Evans become Colorado's first 2019 commit?
Monument (Colo.) Palmer Ridge 2019 quarterback Ty Evans landed his first offer a couple of weeks ago from Arkansas. That offer put the in-state schools on notice.
Colorado and Colorado State offered the following week.
"It's been a crazy two weeks. Schools started to get more interested, I guess," Evans said with a laugh.
Evans detailed the Colorado offer with CUSportsNation.com.
"After I started throwing for different schools, CU hit me up and asked if they could come down and see me throw," Evans said. "I threw for them [at my practice], and I went up there [May 26]. I wasn't expecting much out of it because it was my first time there [for a recruiting visit]. I thought it was going to be them telling me that they want me to camp, but then coach Mac called the QB coach, who was giving me the tour, and coach Mac offered me at the end of the tour. It was crazy, for sure.
