Four commits in two days for Colorado

On Monday, Colorado landed a pair of junior college commits as safety Aaron Maddox and Darrion Jones announced their commitments to the Buffaloes.

According to our sources, Jones' commitment was expected, but Maddox's recruitment was a bit more complicated with all of the other Power Five conference schools targeting him.

CU received even more good news on Tuesday as two more commitments were announced.

The Buffaloes received their first class of 2019 commitment when Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Valor Christian RB/WR Joshia Davis made his college choice. Colorado offered Davis during the summer of 2016, and it's very surprising that other schools have yet to offer.

6-foot-6, 270-pound junior college offensive tackle Josh McMullen was next to make his decision. McMullen received an offer from the new UCF coaching staff on Sunday, and Mullen was quoted saying that he'd be "crazy not to visit UCF". That visit won't be happening however as McMullen is locked in with the Buffs. McMullen was selected MACJC Second Team All-State South Offense and has three years to play two.

Colorado has 19 commits in the class of 2018 and the class ranks No. 39 in the country.

WBig in-home visit with Jordan Allen

Mike MacIntyre, DJ Eliot, Jim Jeffcoat, Darian Hagan, and Ross Els all were at Jordan Allen's home on Tuesday night to try to lock up arguably their top recruit left on the board.

On the first weekend of December, Colorado hosted four junior college prospects, and three of those recruits have committed (Maddox, McMullen, and Jones). The Buffs would like go to 4-for-4 with a commitment from Allen.

TCU, Nebraska, Colorado, Michigan State, and Arizona State make up Allen's final five. He is an early enrollee that will be signing on December 20.

Arias sticking with Colorado

After mulling taking an official visit to Oregon State, Mill Creek (Wash.) Jackson wide receiver Daniel Arias decided that he would be sticking with his CU Buffs commitment and not visit OSU.

Arias told CUSportsNation.com over text message that "I've made a decision to sign with Colorado on the 20th."

Arias is a dynamic wide receiver at 6-foot-4, 190-pounds with incredible speed for his size.
