Former Ole Miss safety and Athens (Texas) Trinity Valley C.C. three-star recruit Greg Eisworth took an official visit to Colorado this week.

Eisworth, who was offered by Colorado in May, talked to CUSportsNation.com about his time in Boulder.

"It went great. I had high expectations for them, and I feel like they met them, and in some areas, exceeded them," Eisworth said. "I liked the coaching staff a lot and what coach MacIntyre and coach ShaDon Brown have to offer as far as DB-wise. It's just beautiful place and beautiful campus over there. That's just an added bonus."

The Colorado staff pitched to Eisworth that he can play early in his career at CU.

"They're graduating two safeties, and the other safeties behind them are younger with not a lot of playing experience," said Eisworth. "They're looking for a JuCo guy like me to go in there with experience and compete for a starting role."

Eisworth feels that the Colorado coaching staff is making him a priority in their 2018 recruiting class.
