Another receiver target for the Buffaloes

After signing just one receiver with their 2015 recruiting class, the Buffaloes are trying to load up with receivers this cycle so that Darrin Chiaverini has a well-stocked group during his first-year on Colorado's coaching staff.

Ronnie Turner, a 6-foot-5, 185-pound wide receiver prospect from Salinas (Calif.) Hartnell College, picked up an offer from Colorado during a phone conversation with Buffaloes head coach Mike MacIntyre recently. It was his first offer from a program in the Pac-12.
I would like to thank the University of Colorado and Coach Mac for my 8th offer! #GoBuffs #Pac12 🏈📶🎮 God is good!🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/5wGwXsXTfU- ™Ronnie MOSS™5⃣⛽️® (@callmeroo6) December 18, 2015"Colorado had been sending me some letters throughout the season and then Coach Mac[Intyre] got a hold of me and said he really likes me so I was really excited about that offer," Turner said. "This is an amazing process, I always dreamed about playing FBS football. This is hitting me super, super fast but I am taking it all in and really enjoying it."
Turner has lined up his first official visit with Colorado for Jan. 15, the first weekend following the current recruiting dead period. It will be his first time checking out what the Buffaloes have to offer.
"I hope it is a great program. I heard it is, but I have to see for myself," Turner said of his upcoming trip to Boulder. "I know the coaching staff is really fun and hopefully the players, who would be my teammates, are really cool because I want to get along with everyone. I just want to have a good place for me to go for the next few years. I don't know what to expect out in Colorado but hopefully it is something great.
"I am liking Colorado as of right now. They got the ball rolling by offering so we will see if I commit there or not. I am really excited about it. I will see if Colorado is the right place for me. I might make my decision on the visit."
Turner is also drawing serious interest from Boise State and he has other offers from Cincinnati, Utah State, San Jose State, Middle Tennessee State, Alabama-Birmingham, Georgia State and Rhode Island. He has thought about the possibility of lining up official visits with Boise State and Cincinnati for sometime in January.
Stay tuned......📽 prayers going up, blessings coming down🙏🏽 God is good!💙 pic.twitter.com/vLCkRjbt9S- ™Ronnie MOSS™5⃣⛽️® (@callmeroo6) December 17, 2015"As far as picking where I am going to transfer, I am most concerned about who my future teammates would be. I just want to have a great team," Turner said. "I am not really the type of person with my head held high thinking I am better than anybody. I like to get along with the kicker, punter, everybody on the team. I just want a program that has a real family environment."
An under-recruited player, and non-qualifier out of Seaside High School in Northern California, Turner blossomed as a pass catcher at the Junior College level. He hauled in nearly 100 catches for 1,700 yards and 22 touchdowns as a freshman and sophomore at Hartnell.
"Of course my height helps me as an outside receiver. And for my height, I move pretty quick and I am pretty fast," said Turner. "I can jump well and I can catch well, and I can make a play after the catch. I am not just a possession receiver, that is what colleges have said they like."
Turner is set to earn his AA degree after the spring semester, so he will transfer to his four-year school of choice in the summer with three to play two.
