1. Dallas Walton was fantastic. There were plenty of guys for the Buffs that stepped up on Saturday afternoon, and Walton was certainly one of them. The redshirt freshman scored a career-high 15 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting. A three-point heave in the first half by Walton with the shot clock winding down helped spark the Buffs. Walton was critical offensively for the Buffs.

2. The first half gave the Buffs a big cushion. Colorado played out of their minds in the first half. Arizona did cut the lead to 49-46 after CU had a big 45-29 halftime advantage, but the halftime lead gave Colorado plenty of cushion to hold the lead despite the Wildcats' run. Arizona did not lead on the scoreboard for a single second in the game. At halftime, Colorado shot 54% from the field and just had two turnovers, compared to Arizona's 34% and four turnovers.

3. George King was huge on the glass. King struggled scoring the ball, finishing with just five points on 2-of-8 shooting, but he had a huge impact on the game. Of the guys who played today for CU, the only true "big men" were Lucas Siewert and Walton, but they combined for just one rebound. Arizona had a much bigger front court, led by Deandre Ayton and Dusan Ristic, but Colorado was still able to rebound pretty well on the defensive glass. King grabbed a team-high 11 boards, and McKinley Wright added eight rebounds. Arizona manhandled Colorado on the offensive glass, but the Buffs were able to get the job done.

4. Dominique Collier played clutch. The senior guard only scored two points in six minutes of the first half, but he came alive for the Buffaloes when they needed it most. He took the reigns offensively to get Colorado back on track in response to Arizona's run to start the second half. Collier scored 12 second half points on 4-of-6 shooting, including two big three point buckets.

5. Walton's block, McKinley Wright's dunk sealed it. Colorado held a 72-65 lead, and Arizona was looking to get a basket to cut the lead to four or five points with 1:10 left. Walton came up with a big blocked shot that Arizona rebounded but then threw away. Wright intercepted the pass and had a breakaway dunk on the other end of the court. Arizona made a couple of baskets late to make the game look closer than it seemed, but Wright's dunk gave CU a 74-65 lead with a minute left, which sealed the game.
