Exclusive 1-on-1 interview with Darrell Scott

Ventura (CA) St. Bonaventure running back Darrell Scott is the nation's top prospect at his position, and the recruiting talk has really heated up of late with Scott recently narrowing his recruiting focus down to only a handful of teams.

The blue-chip runner has dialed in on Colorado, Texas, Florida, LSU, UCLA and Florida State as his main remaining options, and Scott began taking his official visits earlier this month. First was a trip to Boulder to see the Colorado program and Scott followed that up with a visit to Austin last weekend to see what the Texas Longhorns had to offer.

Thousands and thousands of recruiting fans have been waiting patiently for Scott to comment on the visits, but the soft-spoken, hard-running standout has chosen to remain quiet and keep his focus on his team's playoff run, which began on Friday with a 27-7 win over San Luis Obispo. In that game, Scott rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries, and his performance came in front of a group of Longhorn fans that made its presence known by cheering loudly every time Scott made a play.
