Pass rush vital for Buffaloes

BOULDER, Colo. - After dodging the bullet that is the nations ninth leading passer in Fresno State quarterback Derek Carr, another bullet is coming right for the Colorado defense on Saturday.

That bullet is Sean Mannion.

The Oregon State QB leads the nation in passing by almost 300 yards and is completing passes at a 71.5-percent clip.

Because of that, Colorado defensive end Chidera Uzo-Diribe knows the Buffaloes have to get to Mannion if they want to have a chance in this game.

"With a pocket passer like that who sits back and has good receivers around him, we definitely have to make sure we get a lot of pressure on him," he said. "We have to make him uncomfortable back there."
