Follow @McNamaraRivalsThough his season came to an end after a double-overtime loss to Hopkins High School, Wisconsin signee Riley Dearring is still up for the honor of Mr. Basketball in Minnesota. A 6-foot-4, 170-pound wing, Dearring is one of five finalists along with Anders Broman, Graham Woodard, Aaron Lien and Quinton Hooker. The Minnetonka prospect could be the first Mr. Basketball player from Minnesota to play for the Badgers since Jordan Taylor in 2008. "We had a good season and finished with 20-plus wins," Dearring told BadgerBlitz.com. "We ended up losing to Hopkins in double-overtime in the sectionals semifinals.
