Smith ready to visit Iowa
After missing most of the season his junior year due to injury, Texas wide receiver Cameron Smith put up big numbers as a senior with 59 catches for 1,071 yards and 15 touchdowns. That performance has led to more recruiting interest for the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Coppell native, including four scholarship offers to date.
"A lot of people call me a sleeper because I didn't get to play that much my junior year. I had a pelvic stress fracture and missed a lot of games," said Smith. "This year I was blessed to stay healthy and had a pretty good season, so more schools started calling and showing some interest."
Currently, Smith has scholarship offers on the table from Arizona State, Iowa, Houston, and North Texas.
