WVSports.com Commitment Analysis

In years after the retirement of WVU coach Don Nehlen West Virginia has been known for their offense. Yes, there have been some quality defenses in the past few years but nothing that sticks out nearly as much as the offensive performances. So it should come to no shock to anyone that today's commitment from Orange Park (Fl.) Orange Park HS De'Asian Richardson is the highest Rivals prep ranked defensive lineman to ever commit to WVU.

The 6'3" 285 pound lineman made his choice known earlier this morning with a phone call to WVU's staff selecting West Virginia over fellow finalists Oklahoma, Tennessee, Missouri and Mississippi State, but it was believed to be a battle between the Mountaineers and Sooners.
