Getting to Know: Joe Hansley

Continuing on with our series of Getting to Know the Class of 2012, Joe Hansley took the time in a Q&A to let Rams fans know more about him.

What sold you on Colorado State?

Joe Hansley: "Location and the new coaching staff coming in sold me. Not to discredit the old staff, but Coach Mac and his confidence really impressed me."

What impressed you the most about Coach McElwain?

"I think his confidence and his ability to turn around the program."

What was your favorite part of your official visit to Fort Collins?

"Probably all the food they fed me."

What specifically will you bring to the Colorado State football program?

"I think I'll bring a different asset to the game that not every team has, like the little quick slot guy that can break it open on some plays and can also get some key third down conversions."

What makes you so special as a player?

"My speed, agility, and my quickness, and just my ability as a football player using my vision, and my ability to catch the ball"

What do you need to work on to get better?

"Size, strength, and my speed could always be better"

What has been your most memorable moment in your football career?

"Making it to the final eight my senior year in high school"

Most embarrassing moment in football?

"My junior year I dropped a wide open touchdown pass, which was pretty embarrassing."

Favorite player of all time?

"DeSean Jackson"

What will you major in?


Favorite hobbies?

"I really like going downtown and getting dinner, and just hanging out around there with friends."

Favorite food?

"French fries"

Favorite movie?

"Dark Knight"

Favorite artist?

"Wiz Khalifa"

Do you have a celebrity crush?

"I'd say I few, actually probably a bunch. But if I had to name one, I'd say Jennifer Aniston."

Do you have any nicknames?

"Yeah I have a bunch, but just to name a couple there's Jerm and Joe-Hans. I go by a lot of names though."

What's something about you most people probably don't know?

"I like to sing in the car real loud when no one's looking."

Do you play any other sports?

"Basketball, track and lacrosse, just to name a few"

Any other special talents?

"I like to impersonate other people. I'm pretty good at that."

What's your message for Ram fans?

"Get ready for us next season, and the whole time I'm up there will be pretty exciting."
