RB, Eddy Ruzga commits to the Black Knights

Like Army fullback Jared Hassin, who hails Delafield (Wis.), the Black Knights have pulled in another quality running back from the Badger state in Eddy Ruzga out of Geneva (Wis.) Badger High School.

Ruzga was offered by the Black Knights in December and eventually took his official visit the weekend of January 6th.

"It went pretty good, actually a lot better than I expected," shared Ruzga, who's player-host was Hayden Tippett. "He was cool and his also a fullback. One of the best things that I thought about or what impressed me the most was how much respect that the cadets give to the teachers and the teachers to the cadets."

"Also, there are no limits to getting assistance and help. If you work hard, you will survive West Point and I like that."

In addition to the camaraderie that caught Ruzga's attention, he was in awe of Army top notch football facilities. "Wow, the weight room was very impressive," he adds. "The stadium, everything is top notch and I loved it all."

At Badger High School, Ruzga played tailback where they ran an option offense and he averaged approximately 10 yards per carry. Since Army runs an option, it appears to be an ideal fits, but where is the staff projecting the 6-foot-3, 205 pounder to play at the next level?

"They said I could be looked at for about five different positions, but my favorite would be fullback," declares Ruzga, who drove the conversation back to his pledge to Army.

"I had committed to Army on Wednesday, because it's a school that is totally different from the rest and will fit me pretty good," says the USMAPS bound Ruzga.

"Coach Ross (Joe) was excited when I committed. He also went to the prep school and I guess he saw something in me that he knew I would commit ... yes, he was very excited."

In addition to football, the talented running back prospect also extends his skills to school's track team. He participates in the 4x400, triple jump, high jump, along with both hurdles ... 110M & 300M, which are his main events. Ruzga indicated that he hopes to run track in addition to play football at Army.
