Washington recaps SU visit

Winter Park (Fla.) linebacker James Washington picked the Orange at the end of June without even seeing the campus. This past weekend he finally took his trip and it couldn't have gone better.

"The trip up to Syracuse was great. It was a great experience for me."

After his trip the 6-foot-3, 220 pounder talked about his favorite part.

"My favorite part of the trip was just hanging out with the players. They really made me feel like I was at home."

While on his trip Washington was able to have time to talk with Orange Head Coach Doug Marrone and they mainly talked about Washington's future.

"We just talked about what we are going to do when I get up to Syracuse," Washington said. "What stuck out for me is how Coach Marrone is with academics and how he is talking about how they will develop me."

On his visit he also had a chance to talk with his fellow recruits as well.

"Meeting them was good it was really good. We were all cool with each other."

Washington has taken a few looks at other programs, but after his Syracuse visit he will not be looking anymore.

"I am ready to get up there for sure," Washington said. "I am 100 percent for Syracuse."

Wayne Morgan Watch

On his visit was three star prospect Wayne Morgan who remains un-committed at this time. Washington did not try to recruit Morgan, but feel he was having a good time.

"I did not personally try to recruit Wayne to Syracuse. I think some of the other guys did though. I think Wayne really liked his visit."
