Ohio State is still looking to add receivers to its 2012 recruiting class and arguably the top target at the position is Cincinnati (Ohio) Taft product Dwayne Stanford. The 6-foot-4, 195-pound prospect hauled in eight catches for 87 yards on Saturday night in a 62-35 win over Western Hills.

"It was a great win," said Stanford. "It was a great win for our team. Offensively we've been struggling this season on our offensive line and this week Jermaine Freeman really stepped up for us. Even defensively he did his thing out there. We got a great day from (running back) Dequon Smith with like 300 yards and 7 touchdowns. I did what I could and I think we were just clicking today."

Stanford is closing in on a decision about his college future and was originally scheduled to visit Oregon next weekend. That visit may now have to wait a few more weeks.

"I might (postpone), I don't know yet," Stanford said. "I have to talk to coach (Mike) Martin and my Mom and see what they want me to do."

Stanford had planned to make his college decision on November 9th when he and teammate Adolphus Washington are presented with their US Army All-American Bowl jerseys, however Stanford may need to push that decision back in order to make a trip out to Oregon.

"It's still the plan, but not if I haven't got out to Oregon," he said. "If I don't go out there on the 29th (of October), I'll probably reschedule it for the 19th (of November) when they play USC and then I just won't decide on November 9th. I really want to get out to Oregon before I decide where I want to go. I just wanted to decide on the 9th because me and D (Adolphus Washington) thought it would be pretty cool with the Army there to represent us and everything. If it can't happen then it can't happen."

If Stanford doesn't get out to Oregon next week, he'll stay in Ohio and take another visit.

"If I can't make the Oregon game, I'll probably go up to the Ohio State/Wisconsin game with Adolphus," he said.

Stanford re-affirmed his intentions to make a decision between a top three of Cincinnati, Ohio State, and Oregon and talked about what each of those programs brings to the table.

On Cincinnati - "I just feel like they want me a lot and that I could grow a lot as a wide receiver."

On Ohio State - "With Ohio State, it's just about them being Ohio State. I see that they will play freshmen, they got like three freshmen receivers that play a lot. They have Braxton Miller and he's pretty good."

On Oregon - "They're losing their big receiver in (Lavasier) Tuinei and they don't really have a big receiver that can come in and replace him so that's what intrigues me about them."

Stanford is the No. 1 rated wide receiver in the BuckeyeGrove.com class of 2012 rankings.
