Boyd Could be Vian's Next Standout

At almost the same time as Vian, Okla. saw it's last FBS recruit return to the gridiron the small Eastern Oklahoma town seems ready to produce yet another football standout. While former Wolverine star Londell Taylor has finally found his way to Norman after several years chasing baseball dreams there is only one sport that draws the focus of 6-foot-4, 290-pound offensive lineman Rob Boyd.

The big blocker, who says he grew up around the corner from the current Sooner freshman linebacker, recently took in Oklahoma's summer camp and definitely caught the attention of many on hand.

"I felt like I performed pretty well. It was the same old stuff we do every day at practice, if we get beat we do up-downs. I make sure I correct what I did wrong and just listened to coach (James) Patton," Boyd explained.
