Four-star visits Iowa

Four-star prospect Canaan Severin has heard a lot about the Hawkeyes, but this week had his first chance to check out Iowa in person. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound wide receiver was in Iowa City on Tuesday and was able to spend some time on campus getting to know the coaching staff and current players. We caught up with Severin to talk about the visit, his interest in the Hawkeyes, when he is looking to make a decision, and much more.

Q: What did you get to do and see on the visit to Iowa today?

SEVERIN: I got to see the whole campus, the classrooms, and the football facilities. I made the trip with my dad and my coach and we went out to eat with Coach O'Keefe and also Marcus Grant, who is going to be a freshman on the team this year. I know him from home because he's from Massachusetts.

As a junior, Severin caught 35 passes for 550 yards and five touchdowns at Worcester Academy. Currently, he holds scholarship offers from Iowa, Boston College, Connecticut, NC State, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse, West Virginia, Western Michigan, and Villanova.
