With pure nose tackles in high demand, it should come as no surprise that Ondre Pipkins is racking up a big time offer list. The 6-foot-3, 325-pound prospect from Kansas City (Mo.) Park Hill high school holds offers from some of the premier programs in the nation. The latest big offer for the Rivals250 member came from the Ohio State Buckeyes.

"It's a big offer," said Pipkins. "I talked to coach (Jim) Tressel and I definitely appreciate them taking an interest in me. I could tell that they really want me and they also took interest in me as a person and I really appreciate that."

The offer comes on the heels of a dominant performance at the Ohio State NIKE Camp on Saturday where Pipkins took home the defensive line MVP award.

"I thought I did pretty good," he said. "My conditioning has gotten a lot better. I felt like if I want to be a game changer that I needed to work on my conditioning. I just went hard on every rep."

Pipkins chose to compete at the NIKE Camp at Ohio State over some closer options due to having family in the Dayton area. It was his first trip to Columbus and he came away impressed by what he saw. Pipkins also had a chance to speak with the Ohio State coaching staff while he was in town.

"The facilities were great," he said. "It was the first time I had ever been to Columbus and the facilities were great. I thought the coaches were very friendly. They were all really positive and they were just telling me what I needed to do if I want to be a Buckeye."

Pipkins is still in the early stages of his decision making process and claims no favorites at the moment. Getting a chance to see Ohio State's campus up close should at least help the cause for the Buckeyes.

"Everybody has a chance," said Pipkins of the schools that have offered. "Being able to visit and see the facilities (at Ohio State) was a good thing and it gave me a good feeling."

Pipkins says he plans to take all five of his official visits after his senior season and will make his decision after he has made those visits.
