Houston area LB is one to watch

Once spring practice begins for high schools late this month or in early May, quite a few prospects from the state of Texas will go from somewhat unknown names to holding multiple offers. One candidate to do so this year is Klein linebacker Ben Weaver.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound junior helped the Bearcats to the second round of the Class 5A state playoffs this past season, earning first-team all-district honors along the way. Weaver has already started to gain interest from several college programs and could be close to offer No. 1.
