A deeper look at Ruhann Peele

Rutgers pulled in its first commitment to the class of 2012 last night when Linden wide receiver Ruhann Peele announced his intentions to become a Scarlet Knight. Some resident experts take a look on the upside of RU's first commitment of the new class.

Linden head coach Deon Candia:
"Going into the season, we know what we want to get out of him next year. It may not be what teams expect. We want to fine tune different things and work on different parts of his game instead of having him try and do everything. I think him committing takes the pressure off. He can spend time learning the game and helping some of the younger kids. He's still a competitor and we expect him to make big plays, but him committing takes the edge off. He doesn't feel like he has to prove himself."

Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Mike Farrell:

NJVarsity.com senior recruiting analyst Bobby Deren:
"I first saw Peele on the camping circuit as a sophomore and was immediately impressed with his quickness and athleticism. But after seeing him on the combine circuit this off-season, I was more impressed with how much he has grown in such a short time. He has added more muscle, his hands improved and he is very fast-twitch at the line of scrimmage. He has the ability to beat defenders right off the ball and his improvements as a whole have shown his willingness to work. That kind of growth will translate into a very high ceiling at the college level."
