Bynum hoping for a couple of Big 12 offers

College Station (Texas) A & M Consolidated defensive tackle J.J. Bynum has three offers to date from Houston, Rice and Wyoming. Bynum said could see himself playing at each of the three schools.

"The main thing I see about Rice is the academics. That is something you just cant ignore, they are definitely there to make you a better person and get you ready for life after football," he said. "The thing about Wyoming is that I just like the state. It is a beautiful state and it would be good to wake up every morning and see that sight when you look outside. Plus they have some funky uniforms too."

"Houston is a pretty cool town that I could see myself at as well. They have had a pretty good offense for the past couple of years and I could help them stop the run on D."

There are more than just the three schools going after Bynum and he sees a few of the schools offering him in the next couple of weeks.

"Texas Tech is looking at me as well; Missouri, Baylor and OSU are also looking at me," he said. "Missouri is telling me that they are going to offer me when I take a visit down there next week. Texas Tech told me they were going to offer me when they came and watched my first week of spring ball."

Ironically, the 6-foot-3, 275-pound prospect's favorite two schools are not part of the three schools that he has received offers from.

"Texas Tech is the school that I love the most. I liked it so much when I visited there this year. I like it a lot because of the people there. There are a lot of country people there and my hometown and College Station, which is where I live now, is like Lubbock kind of because of the people and how they are country folks and all about football. The people are really nice there and I like the way they coach on both sides of the ball."

"I don't know much about Missouri but I am going up there for a visit this month and am looking forward to going down there. They are known for have very polished defensive lines and that would be a good school to go to. I do like Tech the most yet though."

Bynum has offers from Houston, Rice, Wyoming. He is also receiving interest from Baylor, Missouri, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.
