Hawks offer versatile Detroit native

Before the start of spring, the Hawkeyes had already offered scholarships to three prospects from talent rich Cass Tech High School in Detroit. This past weekend, the Iowa coaching staff made it one more as they extended an offer to versatile wide receiver/safety prospect Ruben Lile during his visit to campus in Iowa City on Saturday.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Lile joins Cass Tech teammates Laron Taylor, Royce Jenkins-Stone, and Terry Richardson on Iowa's offer list for the Class of 2012.

As a junior, Lile played both ways for Cass Tech, finishing with 25 catches for 478 yards and four touchdowns on offense to go along with 42 tackles and two interceptions on defense. Coaches have told the Class of 2012 prospect they could see him on either side of the ball in college.
