MU chasing after Seabreeze QB

Marshall University's football coaches showed in the 2011 recruiting class they are not afraid to stockpile talent at the quarterback position.

It appears that philosophy will not be changing any for the 2012 recruiting class as well--Marshall has already offered quarterbacks in Florida such as Tyler Cameron and Trenton Norvell.

Norvell, a 6'4, 215 pound quarterback out of Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach, Florida--took an unofficial visit to Marshall last Wednesday to speak with the Herd coaching staff in person and to get an up close look at the program.

Both quarterbacks figure to be two of the more highly rated quarterbacks in the state of Florida for the 2012 recruiting class.

Cameron already has plenty of hype and hoopla surrounding him--he's currently listed in the Rivals250 watch list for the class of 2012. I look for the attention surrounding Norvell to grow rapidly in the near future as well.

Norvell recently attended the Elite 11 quarterback camp in Orlando, Florida on the campus of Central Florida.

When watching his highlight tape--it's no wonder why Marshall and Temple have already extended scholarships.

The Seabreeze (Daytona Beach, Florida) signal-caller is remarkably accurate in his hihlight package on YouTube--hitting his receivers in stride with the football.

Perhaps the best pass in his arsenal is the screen pass--which he places with a beautiful amount of perfection. He makes it into an artform.

He seems to be a good fit for Marshall's offensive scheme as well--demonstrating the ability to gain 15-20 yards in the open field on the ground if he needs to.

His passsing mechanics as a quarterback are excellent as well--he demonstrates excellent footwork in his highlights, stands tall in the pocket,

HerdNation caught up with him over the weekend to see how his visit to Marshall went, his timetable for a decision, and his goals for the upcoming football season, among other topics.

Below is the interview.
