Battered Bruins host Beavers

The UCLA Bruins (12-14, 7-7) will face the Oregon State Beavers (12-14, 6-8) at 8:00 Thursday evening in Pauley Pavilion. The Bruins are coming off of a split on the Washington trip last weekend that included a humiliation administered by the Washington Huskies.

The Beavers split a pair of games last weekend against the Bay area schools, including an 80-64 win over first place California. The Bruins defeated the Beavers in Corvallis on January 30th, 62-52. In that game UCLA shot nearly 66 percent.

The status of the Bruin front court for this game is totally up in the air. Not only is James Keefe out for the season, but Reeves Nelson will not play this weekend and Brendan Lane is questionable. Nelson has suffered injuries to both eyes and is definitely out. Lane sprained his left ankle at the end of practice on Tuesday and is walking around campus using a boot.
