Big names show up for NU Elite QB camp
The Nebraska Elite Quarterback Academy continues to improve its reputation as one the nation's top QB instructional camps.
The 2006 camp is the third Elite QB Academy NU offensive coordinator Jay Norvell has put on and this year's group of senior signal callers is without a doubt the deepest and most talented in the camp's young history.
Representing the state of Nebraska in the camp's top group are Omaha (Neb.) North quarterback Phillip Bates, Papillion (Neb.) La Vista QB Steve Heiman and Lincoln (Neb.) Southwest signal caller Austin Cassidy.
The 6-foot-2, 190 pound Bates is already an Iowa State commit, but his father Phillip Bates Sr. said his son still came out to the camp to compete.
