Can Oklahoma Keep Cannon's Interest?
Throughout Jay Norvell's tenure Oklahoma has competed for some of the nation's elite receivers but his highest ranked recruit, Trey Metoyer, a Texas native is the lone five-star. In hopes of landing another Rivals100 receiver Norvell is back in the Lone Star State to land the 2014 version of Texas' top pass catcher - Mount Pleasant's KD Cannon.
The 5-foot-10, 163-pound prospect, who has been impressive this spring both at the Dallas Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour and last Sunday's NIKE camp, nearly committed to the Sooners and Norvell last summer following Oklahoma becoming his first offer in the summer that preceded his junior year.
Fast forward nearly a year later and Cannon has offers from across the coast and recently made his second trip to Norman since last summer, for Oklahoma's second junior day on March 9, and was as impressed as ever.
