Cowboys Offer DE Frankie Davis
Broken Arrow defensive end prospect Frankie Davis continues his recruiting momentum when Wyoming offered the 6-foot-3 and 225 Oklahoma product. He received his two latest offers from hometown favorite Tulsa and the Cowboys.
Davis is a playmaker on defense and pass rusher from his end spot. He is an intriquing prospect with speed and the ability to add size to his long frame.
The 2013 prospect is an impressive athlete that stands out against competition in the highest level of Oklahoma high school football.
The Cowboys are high on Davis, though they'll receive some stiff competition from home standing Tulsa and the upstart Colorado State staff that started recruiting him early. He likely will pickup more offers as the recruiting process moves forward.
Davis admits he wants to wait on a decision and check where future offers will come across the board, while pleased with the caliber of schools showing him interest.
"I've been talking to Tulsa a lot. I like the idea they are close to home and playing close to my family," said Davis. "Wyoming offered me lately and it's a school I'm learning about as it goes forward."
The defensive end finished his junior season with 50 tackles and nine sacks and his statistics are shown by his athleticism that makes him stand out on the field.
Davis said he plans on working hard to get ready for his senior season and prepare for college.
"I need to keep working on my quickness and footwork, and that's where my focus has been," said Davis. "I'm going to keep hitting the weight room and work on my strength, and overall improving myself."
Davis has offers from Wyoming, Tulsa, Colorado State, Arkansas State, and New Mexico.
