Keith Ewing had not been talking to Washington State when the old coaching staff was in place but the Bellaire, Texas, outside linebacker was targeted once Mike Leach got the job and it paid off Thursday when the three-star committed to the Cougars.


Ewing has not set an official visit date but said the Washington State coaches wanted to schedule one for January.
