Land as Surprised by Anyone by Success

SoonerScoop.com One of the real surprises of Oklahoma's Summer camp session was Houston Langham Creek cornerback Jeremy Land. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound cornerback showed up in early June to Oklahoma's Summer camp completely unknown but made an impression from beginning to end by playing a physical brand of ball rarely seen on the camp circuit.
The notoriety gained at the camp was a surprise to man, none more so than Land himself.
"My friend told me it was a good camp, so we just went up there. It was us and a few other guys and I guess I impressed some people," Land explained. "The camp was the first taste of recruiting for me and then we went to the 7-on-7 state tournament at College station and I got interview and people were asking me what schools I was looking at and things like that."
