Sumter Central defensive lineman Darren Lake knew the minute he landed an Alabama offer more than a week ago that the University of Alabama is where he wanted to play football.

But the 6-foot-3, 330-pounder excercised patience in waiting until Saturday after the Alabama offensive lineman/defensive lineman camp to make if official, becoming the Crimson Tide's 14th commitment of the 2012 class.
