Napoleon commits to dream school
Brandon Napoleon grew up following West Virginia, so when the offer from the Mountaineers came in he knew where he wanted to go to school.
For months the Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's athlete has been in contact with schools like North Carolina, Rutgers, Indiana and several others. His leader board has shifted dramatically over the course of the recruiting process, but in the end his decision wasn't all that difficult.
"I got the offer from West Virginia yesterday when I was up there and I've committed," Napoleon said on Saturday. "I sat down with the coach and it was a great trip. It was about my fourth time up there. It was actually the first school that I visited.
"It was just a great honor to get the offer. I was very happy."
Napoleon's father attended the school so Napoleon is very familiar with the Mountaineers.
"I already knew this is where I wanted to go so I'm solid," he added.
West Virginia has accepted Napoleon's commitment as an athlete with the potential to play either quarterback or defensive back. The coaches haven't made it clear where he will be playing.
At 6-foot and 175-pounds, Napoleon is a three-star prospect. He had received offers from all of the aforementioned schools, plus Illinois, UConn and Temple, among others.
