Texas QB grabs three new offers
Before the beginning of this past season, Preston Dewey made what turned out to be a very smart decision. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound quarterback transferred from Austin (Texas) Westlake to Austin (Texas) St. Andrews. The move gave him a chance to shine in a passing offense and to learn under St. Andrews head coach and Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Ty Detmer.
The move also paid dividends in another way as the jump from public to private school allowed the former class of 2011 prospect to reclassify and gain another year of eligibility. Now just a junior again, Dewey received his first offer from Southern Miss a while back. A few days ago, a Pac-12 school gave him offer No. 2.
