McGee Watches as His Parents Experience Norman
Junior day events are a chance for schools to show off all that they have to offer and usually do so by a series of tours of their ever-immaculate facilities. And while the tours are of great excitement, and substance, to players that have never seen the campus before they are equally redundant and at times tiring for those who have been on the tours and seen the sights previously.
What was unique for long-time Sooner offer holder John Michael McGee was that his parents weren't familiar with the campus and area around Norman. The 6-foot-4, 260-pound prospect was at Oklahoma last summer for the Sooners camp and saw most of what the school had to offer but admits that watching his parents see things was an enjoyable experience.
"The visit went pretty well. For me it was kind of the same thing, but my mom and my dad got to see it for the first time. They liked it as well," McGee said.
