According to Alex Dale, a 2012 defensive back from Memphis (Tenn.) University School, Ole Miss spotted him by chance last fall.

"I was told [the Rebels] were at one of my games to check out another receiver on the team that we were playing," Dale said. "I ended up covering him that game, and just had a good game."
Apparently so.

Soon after, Ole Miss became the first school to extend the 5-foot-10, 175-pounder an offer. Once that happened, Oxford, Miss., became a regular weekend destination for Dale.
