Earl Moore's quiet, humble nature suited him well last week at Friday Night Lights.

He wasn't there to show off; he was there to listen and learn.

And in Florida defensive line coach Dan McCarney, the touted junior defensive tackle from Tampa (Fla.) Hillsborough found a suitable instructor.

"He was cool," Moore said. "I like him. I was real comfortable around him. I learned some techniques, and some different types of drills that can help me with speed and things like that. He's a pretty hyper guy. He's trying to get things done. He doesn't like a lot of walking around."
