Boehm making the rounds before season starts
With a limited number of scholarship available in the Class of 2011, many Missouri fans have already started to focus on a bumper crop of in-state talent in the Class of 2012. Though those prospects haven't even started their junior year of high school, a handful of Show-Me State players have separated themselves from the pack. One of them was in Columbia yesterday.
Lee's Summit offensive lineman Evan Boehm took a trip to Mizzou during the day with his mom and brother on Tuesday.
Boehm told PowerMizzou.com last month the Tigers were in his top three, along with Oklahoma and Nebraska. You can now add Iowa to that list. He will visit the Hawkeyes Iowa City campus this weekend.
After the stop in Iowa City, the Boehms will head to Lincoln to visit Nebraska. All four schools have offered him a scholarship already. And one thing fans of any school can count on: Wherever Boehm lands will be an easy drive from Lee's Summit. Royce Boehm will often coach a game on Friday night and then drive either overnight or Saturday morning to see Evan play.
